I know some people prefer to buy in person and it has advantages to build up spend etc so if thats you I get it. If not it’s readily available new at a discount on chrono24. I had mine the next day no wait no games.

Have you tried the NYC boutique? I live in Northern California and they were able to get me one faster than anyone else...and by that I mean they actually had one in stock that they shipped to me. Everyone else in my area said that they would have to order it and didn't know how long that would take.

I don't give a hoot on 'spend history and relation building' but I would never buy grey.

I love watches and they are a very important thing in my live. I get a lot of happiness from these mechanical marvels.

Goes without saying that buying a watch is a huge thing for me. Before I decide on buying a watch a lot of time has past wondering, dreaming, etc.
Would I want to end this wonderful expierence in a website buy? Of course not.

So I have bought all the watches in my collection from an AD or boutique.

I can't get my head around the fact most are willing to spend hundreds of dollars/euros/pounds on food in a fine restaurant, spending at least 100 times of what it would cost to eat at home but feel they can't spend or potentially loose money on a watch.
That has to be some sort of 'investment'.

My first Rolex (16710), Hulk, DD40 - all bought from the grey market at really good prices with box and papers when that was a thing that you could do. I absolutely adore these watches, as I do the ones that I bought from the AD - it makes no difference to me, as long as I'm getting a terrific watch at the price I'm willing to pay.

DavidSW has been really good to me, as have others, and the boutique experience is not enough to say "never go grey". Find the deal that is right for you and go from there.

Very nice new option. They chose an excellent green hue, IMHO.
Do you have any wrist shot in natural lighting that better showcases the green dial? If so, please consider posting it if possible.
Thanks.

A true stunner and still a favorite of mine. Just wore it to Folktale Winery this weekend.

Finally got to handle one (chrono) and it's now firmly on my shortlist. Just freaking gorgeous. Will be curious to see what they do with it in the coming years (GMT, time only etc).

Am I the only one that feels the date looks like weird add on?

I absolutely love this watch , but I just wish it was available as a no date.

Have you guys seen the new gold dial version? It's freaking unbelievable (and like most all PM's, out of my budget)!!

You know how it goes with date dials you'll get the entire spectrum of opinions so it just comes down to personal preference. I really like the AE date like it better than if at 3:00 personally.

Still a watch I’m really keen on, keeping my eyes on the pricing over the next year!

The dial still looks great every time I see it even on pictures!

Understood....

I think it's not so much the location of the date, it's just the eagle eye dial is so phenomenal, anything that takes up real estate from that beauty is a net loss.

I didn't know the greens were a limited edition. Bums me out a bit, because I want have the finances ready before they are long gone.

Of course I'm biased but I just love when this thread pops up!

Such a beautiful watch and underrated by most until they see it in person.

They're attainable, and below MSRP on the secondary.

Look into the XPS variant – the small seconds, thinner case, narrower bezel, and movement position it with AP and Patek, not Rolex.

I've had consistently positive experiences at their boutiques. I imagine in large part because they're family owned.

XPS is a whole different watch. I agree - up with PP, ALS etc.
