Lightning strikes twice — Milgauss & OP41 (Green)

I was having zero luck getting a Milgauss z-blue in New York City. Not one call-back in over a year, despite being on numerous “lists.” However, I stopped by an AD in the Houston area when I was in town late last year and in less than 2 months I got the call that my new Milgauss had arrived.

Fast forward a few months to late April 2022. At the urging of my wife, I visited the same Houston area AD when I was in town and asked for the OP41 in green. The wife loves that watch but again, none of the AD’s in NYC would give us the time of day. Anyway, the call came on Monday and the new watch has arrived! The wife couldn’t be happier. I found what has to be the best AD in America :-)

As aggravating as my experiences with AD’s have been in New York (Hudson Yards, 5th Ave Wempe, Tourneau, etc.), it’s been the exact opposite in Texas.

I feel this pain, I have been on the list for a Milgauss at Tourneau for nearly a year. I work at a hospital so want it for the functionality because of all the machines in the labs.

Congrats on being able to score yours!

Congrats. Patience is a virtue I don’t have.

I feel like there are watches much more antimagnetic than the Milgauss. It’s still a cool watch, and the blue is awesome, but if that’s the only reason, I think any of the models with the newer movements might have better antimagnetic properties.
