Looking for a DJ31 Mint Green

Hi everyone, I'm new here.

My parents recently received both of their Rolex's as retirement gifts and I've been amazed and impressed with the quality and intracacies of their watches. Dad got a Daytona Rolesor with the black face and mum got a Lady Datejust in steel and everose. The Daytona is a standout, don't know how he managed to get one. :)

I've always loved Rolex but never really saw one in person or visited an AD as I didn't have the means at that time. Now I'm older, have a good job, I really want to own a piece which I will treasure for life and be able to pass down the generations.

The one I'm looking at is the new 2022 DJ31 in Oystersteel, Mint Green, with the fluted bezel and in the jubilee bracelet. One AD in Melbourne advised that it might be a two year wait, but I put my name down anyway. I know I need to be patient but I just want to hear does anyone else have any experience in obtaining a DJ31 in Melbourne and is the timeframe really two years?

Thanks so much for reading.

Despite the economy settling a bit, that may be an ambitious ask. If you are prepared to wait, stranger things have happened but there's not much incentive for a dealer to sell you one if they can make a regular customer happy.

I think that supply is challenging independent of geography.

That is absolutely the best configuration for a DJ31, an excellent choice. Keep in regular contact with the AD and let them know how much you’re looking forward to getting it.

Thanks so much, this is good training to exercise my patience. I will post update here once I get the call, maybe two years from now. 😝

2 years Sounds like a lot for that particular model. I do believe it won‘t take that long. At my AD in Germany, waiting time for a DJ 36 in mint green is six months tops.

DJ31 mint green has been there for some years already, 2022 only added the same color to DJ 36/41 line :) really nice color indeed. there is also TT version with steel/YG with mint green it may take less time to order IMO.
