P.6000 power reserve test?

I just bought my first Radiomir, last Panerai I had was a Pam 111 more than 10 years ago. It seems a lot has happened in the Panerai seen since I was last here.

Anyway, I wounded up the watch to test its accuracy and power reserve. Accuracy has been great with less than -1 second a day. As for power reserve, it’s still running after 86 hours and I am a little confused. I have previously experienced watches that deliver a couple of hours over the claimed power reserve but this is almost another half day of power reserve. Has anyone tested theirs, please share your results.

Also, I did not expect to like it this much. I never really liked Radiomirs but I guess with age comes wisdom.

I read than the P5000 is the same and gives more 9/10 days than the 8 days in the specs !

The P6000 has a power reserve of 72 hours. After full winding you place it at rest, for example in dial up position, and do not touch the watch. Then the movement should stop after about 3 days. You test like that? Or do you wear the watch?

Ah, that could be it then. No i was wearing it through the day, except when asleep it would be rested at the dial up position like you said. It finally stopped after 89 hours and 50 minutes.

I guess they are under promising and over delivering then.

Interesting since the caliber P.6000 has no automatic winding. Do you obtain the same power reserve when you place the watch at rest after full winding?

PR in pratice is cca 92h for p6000. Have the sam caliber in pam1086. I wind it only two times a week, but full until it stops. On tuesday evening, and saturday morning. Accuracy is within +5, - 5
P5000 on the other hand have stated pr of 8 days, in pratice almost 10.

Definitely has some power issues, send it back for a check tell them that it should stop much earlier

My P5000 used to go for 10 days so they definitely under promise and over deliver!

Edit: shame they don’t take the same attitude when it comes to movement finishing :(

Just checked my log notes. My Pam 661 with the P.9010 was a overachiever as well.

Last mainspring test: 80 hours and 15 minutes power reserve.
Comes to life at 10 winds. 75 winds from stop to full power..
