Visited a few AD:s in Sydney today and yesterday. Very friendly staff but everything is for exhibition only, even the ladies models.

I was in Perth.. "no stock".
Then I noticed a Rolex box brought out to the back for an Asian customer. He walked out after looking at the product. Box brought to the back.
I asked again.. " not stock".

I have Omega's and Breitlings, I want a Rolex - but having read the above posts - think I will just go grey market for a Deepsea - very depressing market in Australia

Just visit some ADs and if you have a good relationship with the rep put your name down. The deepsea isn’t that difficult. And if it’s your first Rolex, just be honest.

Any Australian buyers now seeing greater availability?
I did manage to recently pick up an OP41 from an AD after a 4 month wait

Yes, last month I picked up 2 Rolexes in 3 days from a Melbourne AD. That was after an initial visit to express my interest in several pieces.

BTW, this is not normal, I was pleasantly surprised myself. Definitely the exception, I don’t expect this happens very often.

Little chance of a walk-in purchase but in terms of the waiting list shenanigans - a few months should do it in Melb. My experience has been pretty positive with multiples pieces this year so I don't understand why Aussies are having issues with picking up what they want.
