Upcoming Disneyland Paris Trip

Me and my 5 year old daughter and best friend are off to Disneyland Paris in a few weeks!

These are my choices for the trip - I do love me a but of yellow gold I think I’ve already made my decision which one to wear - what would you choose?

Of those I would go YG Sub. Plenty of gold colored watches out in the wild that aren't real gold to help this fly a little under the radar. The others you posted are all hot / hype pieces and would garner more attention from the masses IMO. Whatever you choose have a great trip.

I'd wear the meteorite dial GMT because I love meteorite and it's white gold, not as eye catching as the yellow gold.

Upcoming Disneyland Paris Trip

I was in Disneyland yesterday, saw a guy wearing a huge iced out Cuban link, Cuban link bracelet and a platinum daydate. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that at Disney. Easy to bang around watches though with rides, bringing something you don’t mind banging around might be the play. I would say the BLRO in the park.

I’m going to go with Meteorite GMT :)

GMT function for back home ok one hour time difference but whatever , and the French national flag colours :)

The last thing on my mind is someone trying to rob me etc in answer to above poster, I’m not heading to the slums

I have considered the potential banging around whilst on rides etc which is why I eliminated the sky dweller - big shiny and fluted bezel.

I do have a slight urge to wear the 5 digit submariner but sizing is a real pain for me with no bracelet adjustment and this obviously won’t be leaving my wrist at all for the four days we are going.

I wore my black 216570 in February when I was in Paris. SS and under the radar was my game plan but I will say I couldve worn anything I wanted. PM included. I wasnt in the slums either. At least I dont think I was Stayed at the Hotel Da Vinci. Small, quaint, and lovely. We were close to everywhere we wanted to go. Have fun my friend. And bring just one. The Meteorite is a perfect choice.

Take care.

Last thing on my mind would be choosing what watch to wear if I was going on vacation anywhere, my mind would be focused making sure family friends enjoyed themselves.

You should at least have your sleeves cover them at all times so I think the choice of watch is trivial.

Not sure why people own GMT's never use them. I get that most people aren't going scuba down 300 feet or seadwelling 1000 feet but GMT you an always use. It's a cool function.

You’ll need the chrono to time the rides Jay. I’d go with the Daytona.

Have a blast with your daughter and friend

I grew up in this neighborhood , Regardless of the watch you chose you will be safe within the park but at risk if you shop in Val d’Europe or Paris.

Thanks for the well wishes to those who have :)

For the majority of comments of “being safe” I live in south london and have grown up alot rougher than probably alot of you have. I’m very aware of what it is to be safe I do not fear walking around with my watches I don’t buy them to wear around the house.

And yes Padi my primary objective is to give my daughter a good holiday which I will do, this is however a watch, or more specifically rolex watch forum I do not share 99 per cent of my private life here - only my watches.

We are a hard-core Disney resort family. I am a firm believer of the “Submariner” works best. This was after trying many different watches on these vacations. The quick timing bezel was used a lot. I also spent a lot of time in water, water slides, etc… and the Sub was the best looking tool for the lifestyle of this kind of traveling.
At least go with a ceramic bezel on these kinds of adventures.

I love this part of going away. I'm in my own little world trying to imagine wearing each of my watches at the intended destination. I only took my blue Pelagos and a G-Shock to Disneyworld earlier this year. They're perfect watches for the trip but I wish I hadn't crumbled to all the fear mongering, robbery stories I'd heard and just taken my ceramic Pepsi. I think I agree with Mystro that the sub (SS) is the perfect theme park watch (the LV is my next purchase hopefully).
Enjoy your trip buddy and look forward to a couple of pics maybe.

Hmm...decisions, decisions.

Not to rain on your parade, Jay, but my thought for amusement park type settings is always steel. YMMV, but I'm going to go with your white Sky-D or SD43.

Have a great trip!

Let’s not start shaming each other for posting watches. That’s why we’re here. It’s not a dating app. I just want to see pictures of cool watches! Obviously he’s going to make sure his family has a good time.. he’s taking them to Disney not Las Vegas. Easy with the judgment.
You’ve got some bad hombres there man- the meteorite Pepsi and the two yellow golds- awesome pieces. I’d probably pick the yellow gold sub. But I’d also prob bring more than one. So- just one, YG sub. Two, YG Daytona and meteorite.

Thing is i wear my SD43 a hell of a lot it’s my 24/7 watch when another watch goes on it’s for a few hours and the SD43 is back on my wrist. I have taken it to other theme parks, where it definitely did take some knocks but considering my little girl is 5 and just as terrified about roller coasters as me
(Also probably not tall enough for most thank god) then we won’t be doing many hardcore rides.

Thankyou Larry - SS is totally out of the question on this one mate! I’m pretty nailed on for PM! The 116719 is strongly pulling me though I just love that watch I think even more so that the steel version is released I feel it’s really unique in an extremely un-unique way
