Trying to purchase my first ROO in boutique
Hello experts, I need some advices.
I plan to purchase my first AP (26420)this year and start build relationship with boutique in September. I stop by several times to chat with the SA about my self and received some positive feedback. But I still want here some advices from you guys. Is that possible to purchase the 26420 without purchase history? If it's impossible, I will not awast my time at boutique and try find one in gray market. Do you think I still have chance to purchase the watch at this year? It's almost December and I'm not sure the boutique will receive another shipment, so please let me know if anyone have the experience! Thanks!!!! |

I'm waiting for the same watch since last year. I think the chance of getting it this year is slim given that it will be the 50th anniversary version. My SA told me that next year is very likely as it won't be the "limited" version anymore. I was told that the wait time will be about 1 year.

Op is talking about the 26420. You’re talking about the ROC 26240. Op, roo should be obtainable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think you still might have a decent chance. ROO's are definitely easier to come by versus an RO variation. Don't give up hope and wait it out a bit . Quote:
I think you might have the reference numbers mixed up. 26420 is not a 50th anniversary piece as it's an Offshore. The OP is waiting for an Offshore. What you must be waiting for is a 26240 RO chrono probably. That is a 50th anniversary piece this year.

I got my blue titanium 26420 in February with absolutely zero purchase history. In fact, not only was I not from the State, I am not even from the country. I Flew in from Canada. Great memorable service. So, if you have developed a relationship with an SA, just stick with it and am almost certain you will get it. |

In March I purchased a 26420 after a 6 month wait. No purchase history.
In Oct I purchased a silver dial 26240 ROC with only the one previous purchase. This one I was lucky as I mentioned wanting to come look at them, understanding none were available. When I arrived my SA had a surprise. I think I was amongst the lucky few. |

26420 should not be that hard to acquire because it's selling at a discount in secondary market.
26240 would be a lot harder to get.

Very possible, especially if there's another price hike first of the year. Not saying there is a price hike, just observing how the price hike is thinning out first time buyers.
Before end of year, kind of a toss up. Good luck! |

My friend and I went to the AP house in NY a couple weeks ago so he could look at some watches and start a relationship. Showed interest in the 26420 and the sales guy reached out to him last week that it arrived.

You are right! I mixed it up because the SA told me that it’s hard to get it this year because of the special edition. I was thinking it’s for both models as I’m waiting for both ROC and ROO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
