Lucky in Las Vegas!
Can’t really believe this happened but I scored a Submariner as a walk in customer yesterday at a Rolex boutique in Las Vegas. I emailed the store a few months ago to inquire about a few different models and received a very nice and professional email as a response, but didn’t really think it’d go anywhere. Figured I’d stop by anyway and have a chat. Went in and tried on a handful of GMT’s and Subs. Decided I liked the Submariner the best and was offered one on the spot. Couldn’t believe it!
I asked the store to keep it in their safe for me for a few days as i don’t like leaving valuables in my hotel room. It’s been paid for and is ready for me to pick up before i leave. Will post pics in a couple days!

That's a good pick up. Vegas AD's probably have a different approach to selling watches - maybe they don't need to factor the preference some have for selling to locals only as its a visitors town.

Vacation acquisitions are the most exciting. Great choice on the classic Submariner. Symmetrical dial and case profile is aesthetically superior to the date models. No collection should be without one. Wrist shot ! |
