OP36 Silver or Blue?

I’m really keen on a OP36 but torn between Bright blue and Silver with the gold accents. I know it is personal preference, but any insights from anyone who’s looked at both or chosen one over the other?

Pictures welcome!

There was a recent thread about these two OPs from someone in the UK. The search function however is a bit of a cluster. Lots of nice photos in it and the usual banter about the legibility of the silver dial.
I prefer the silver fwiw.

Two thoughts:

1. Gold accents reflecting off of silver dial looks really great, and unique in the (all steel) Rolex lineup.
2. The two wear very differently in terms of size.

I say that based on my experience with the 34 (which I own). I tried the blue and it looked tiny. Then I tried the silver and found it wore a full size bigger (light dial, monochromatic look).

YMMV

Personally, I think it is very much dependent on your style. I tend to wear a lot of blue. I would also say the silver seems a little more dressy with the gold accents.

blue for me. lighter dial tends to look slightly bigger. as said silver is a little bit on the dressier side and blue on the sportier side.

The blue would be my first choice generally but I think it depends on what this watch will be to you. In my experience the silver dial with the yellow gold accents most closely aligns with most folks notion of the traditional Rolex aesthetic. It’s a handsome watch that presents above its price point.
