Hoping to break into Patek (5712 or 5205) and FPJ (Chronometre Bleu or Chronometre Sovereign) in 2023.

The list for RRCC3 is already closed. Good luck for those wanting to get on the list for one. |

If I were them I will offload everything to AD and let them manage their own customers instead. It is quite painful to deal with demanding individuals everyday. I would rather spend my energy making watches.

ADs cost 35%, a company could probably hire two employees in-house for the same cost.

Waiting on the call for my YG DayDate 40 to mark my 40th bday next March!
Aside from that probably will just wait to see what G-shock launches for their 40th anniversary as well. |

Something in titanium. I’m in no hurry to decide, but right now my list of options is:
1. Omega Seamaster Bond NTTD 2. Grand Seiko Evo9 Mistflake GMT 3. Tudor Pelagos FXD 4. Old Breitling Chrono Avenger 5. IWC Pilot Chrono Mercedes-AMG Petronas I’m open to recommendations! |

I'll probably be buying my Speedy Pro back from a friend in early 2023 :)

I would prefer to buy none.
However I am interested in seeing if something interesting comes out next year that I would be open to buying. |

Was thinking about Breguet, but I just heard the Swatch Group is taking five months just for basic service. Bummer, as after-sales service means a lot in the luxury goods sector. Crossing Breguet off my list until customer service time improves.
Anyone have their modern Breguet serviced recently in the USA and how long did it take?

Currently on the list for a black dial explorer 2 which I expect I’ll get a call about Q1 2023 and this was going to be my only purchase, but now I’m not so sure and may opt for a JLC reverso instead (I know they are of course very different watches) but I have another steel diver with a dark face and so struggling to justify it but who knows, plus the prices of them are dropping significantly meaning I may opt for the older 39mm or an older 42mm if they continue to fall.

Since starting this thread my collection has changed dramatically! Currently sitting with this trio. Still looking to add a white Skydweller, mint DJ 41 and potentially an Omega Speedmaster in 23’.

Purchase plan for 2023
Quote:
Already waitlisted for the VC 4500v Blue, probably won’t see that until 2024 at the earliest. For 2023, hoping to pick up a Speedy when the market softens a bit more, and will look into a Zenith Chronomaster Sport since my AD has made it abundantly clear that a SS Daytona isn’t in the cards, and I refuse to pay grey pricing for it. |

I’ve been fortunate enough to acquire all the pieces I was after over the past 2 1/2 years so for the first time I’m considering consolidating a few to pick up something different. I’ve been interested in several independents but am finding it difficult to acquire. It’s also difficult because I have a hard fast rule of seeing it on my wrist before committing…

I have a Czapek coming in in 2023, but that was this year's purchase, so that doesn't really count.
I am trying to focus on Patek or another ALS. The Patek would either be a 5205 or 5235 annual calendar, or a 5524 Travel Time. The ALS would be a Timezone 1 in WG or Grand Lange 1 in WG or Platinum. Then I will check myself into debtor's prison. |

Hoping Grand Seiko comes out with a red dial watch. They seem to have so many colors available but not that.
