Do you want to see a black bezel GMT?

Back when I purchased my first Rolex, a GMT ii, there were three options for bezels, Pepsi (Red and Blue) Coke (Red and Black) and Black. I really agonized over which to choose (you can tell this was a LONG time ago, they had all available in the case and available for purchase ). Anyway, I chose the Coke and was very happy with it.

I have been wearing my BLNR for about three weeks and am very happy with it as well. To those of you that own the Pepsi, more power to you and wear them in good health, but they are just not for me. HOWEVER… I really wish they had the option of a black bezel. They did in the 116710, why not the 126710? Of course, I wish the Coke was an option as well, hopefully they will introduce that in March, but why stop offering it when transitioning from the 1167 to the 1267? Honestly, I would like to see it.

Does anyone else desire a black-bezel GMT?

Personally, I love the subtle cool of the black bezel GMT and the green GMT hand is next level imo.

I would love Rolex to reintroduce this model.

My name would go straight on the list

The black ceramic bezel was in the Rolex catalog for over 10 years (2007-2018). That might be the reason why you won’t see it coming back any time soon.
It was my first GMT, and served me well…though I always thought it looked too similar to a Sub, and could not get along with polished center links. I sold it as soon as I got the call for the BLRO.

I prefer to have bi-colour bezel to differentiate between day and night at a quick glance.

GMT is only bi colour bezel now, Black Black too similar to Sub, and only produced by Rolex because it didn't have the technology to produce a ceramic bi-colour bezel to differentiate night from day. Never coming back in my opinion.

But why they have Black bezel in the 5 digit back then?

I prefer bi-color bezels on the GMT but could see them bringing back the all black. I'm sure it would be a very warm welcomed return.

I'm not interested but I bet they would sell well. I'm sure Rolex will slide one back in at some stage.

Because some pilots were complaining that the Pepsi was like a clown watch and they wanted something respectable in formal black to wear with their suits. Different times.

I had exactly the same experience but with the 5 digits. My first rolex was a black GMT Master, then I purchased a black sub and they looked very similar, so I switched the GMT to pepsi and never went back.

I would buy a all black GMT in a heartbeat. I do like the Batman/ Batgirl, Pepsi not so much. Have always liked the all black GMT.

I own the BLRO and the BLNR and would gladly add a Black Bezel model or the Black and red to my collection.

I hope they never build a newer 116710LN, keep it the way it was originally designed.

Rolex discontinued the LN, only they know why. Maybe it was too similar to the Submariner?

Nope.

Do some other solid colour.
Slate grey dial and grey bezel would be great.
All blue would be nice.

This, and maybe also a satin dial and a glidelock clasp.

I don't have the funds for another watch, but a black-bezel GMT seems to make sense and would make a lot of people happy. So I'm all for it.

I remember when this model was first released & the threads blew up on this forum back in the day. It was a very controversial release from Rolex because of the GMT now introducing PCL's to the line & I recall many people on here buying the watch & then getting rid as they could not live with the blingy factor that the GMT had now moved to & all of the scratches as well.

I think if someone was looking for an all black sports rolex, yes. I am aiming for the Daytona for that purpose, or the 124060 is a great option. I love the pop of blue on my BLNR currently, so I don’t see it as an improvement for me. I would actually prefer an all blue bezel!

Rolex should somehow address the overall GMT shortage. Adding another model would just make things worse.

Stop making TT Datejusts for a month and pump out a ton of GMTs, please! I want to get "the call!"

I used to have one, but after a while started to think the sub looked better (less busy bezel and brushed centre links). But I did like the GMT hand.

But my guess would be that most people picked the black sub over the GMT
