Do it. There is a reason why it fetches a premium. Every Rolex collector must have it in their collection

There is no chance I would trade it. The VC is stunning. From my perspective doing the deal is all about your personality. Although I have a mix of watches in my collection, I often gravitate to the watches that go more in the “if you know you know” category. Additionally, I don’t filp my watches so I am not worried about resale value. Everyone knows the Daytona. The majority of people you come across will never know VC and as a result seems way more exclusive. At the end of the day you have to be happy though.

I have both watches. As much as I love my SS Daytona, I would NEVER trade a VCO for it! VC’s built and quality are on another level. The blue dial is absolutely stunning! Best blue dial on the market.

Hard no on that trade. Wrong direction with a big downgrade. But if you really love the Daytona then go for it.

Some of the comments in this thread are ridiculous. As long as the trade is fair, current values and conditions of each watch are accurate Id say do it.

Assuming you lost love and stopped wearing the VC. People talking about where the Daytona will be in 50 years vs the VC… you kidding me lol. Are we back to investment talk? Get the watch on your wrist that will make you the most happy today.

Rolex daytona is the most overrated watch on the planet ( i own two, stainless steel white dial and 18k gold green dial)
They are nice but nothing special

Vc 4500v blue dial is in another league

If you can get daytona at retail, that’s about what its worth

Even omega 321 is better then daytona
