126710BLNR vs JLC Master Geographic

I've got a milestone birthday coming up in a little over a year and a half (40) and was planning on a 126710BLNR. I already own a 116610LN, purchased from Fourtane back in 2019, and it's a fantastic watch, but I do find the GMT function incredibly useful when working cross-geo - I can instantly know what time it is in Sydney, SF, and UTC. I know availability has been rough over the past couple of years, but with the evaporation of "cheap" money, it looks like that's poised to change. I've felt out a few ADs in regards to being able to secure the BLNR for my 40th and have been met with a spectrum of responses, ranging from "yes" to "no way, unless you buy jewelry / have a history with us". This uncertainty lead me to explore outside the Rolex GMTs and I stumbled upon the JLC Master Geographic... I've seen it in-person several times and let the watch simmer in the back of my mind over months. At this point, that Master Geographic has me wondering if I even want the BLNR anymore.

From where I stand, the pros of the BLNR are typical of Rolex: it'll hold value over time, will be deadly reliable and easily serviceable, and it's iconic. To my eye, the JLC is the more beautiful, interesting timepiece, and the availability is good, but I have no idea what reliability and serviceability will look like in 5, 10, 25+ years. Also, the JLC is far more versatile in the sense that I can dress it up or down and not worry about catching much attention - it's a low-key piece, which I like.

Any advice one way or the other?
