I've read there is a dial difference? Any truth to that? Matte vs gloss?

I think I found one more piece of evidence to support the existence of a 126610LV Mk2 bezel. When you download the brochure from the website, check out the file name. The black bezel sub and sub date both end in -0001.pdf, whereas the 126610LV brochure now ends in -0002.pdf

I have a 2021 126610LV and the white tag ends in 0002. They've always been like that, nothing new.

It will be really interesting to see if they stay with the lighter shade of green for years to come or just for the one 70th sub anniversary year.

I’m on the list for an LV as soon as I get mine I will send pics… of course it will probably be in 5 years maybe a different shade of green for the 75th anniversary.

Another confirmation from the local AD, the new LV bezel will be with a lighter shade of green - they received this information on a training provided by Rolex on the new models. I don't have information whether this is going to be for one year only or for longer period. We discussed with the AD is that this is a clever way to differentiate the 70th anniversary of the Sub

Is this confirmation by Rolex and will all future bezels for this model be the same colour?

Visit your AD today and ask. They will most likely confirm

I asked my AD and he seemed more out of the loop than me. I'm awaiting real confirmation, as self-indulgent youtubers who profit from your clicks simply can't be trusted. Plus, they're wrong more than they're right.

It would be cool to see a photo of that page.

I’m not doubting you. It would just be interesting to see how Rolex wrote this.

It begs the question if true, why didn’t Rolex (not Jakes World Rolex), make the announcement at WW?

Because this is now the most talked release of this year. Brilliant marketing and kinda hilarious.

Although Im personally a bit sad because I have visioned myself one day getting this reference and going to Starbucks to take some meme photos. I guess I need to get the MK1.

As the world got distracted by bubble OPs and emoji Day-Dates, I love when Rolex makes a subtle change without fanfare. The anniversary editions are so overdone, so trumpeted in the watch industry, it's a breath of fresh air to see Rolex make a change — albeit small — while remaining discreet about it.

All Jake's World did was cite Adrian Barker's video (in which Adrian made some unsubstantiated claims) and then Jake quoted a (real?) "Rolex rep".......

I'm not saying it isn't true. But it most definitely isn't "fact". For now, it seems more like Internet rumors & click bait.

We shall see....

Thats how I read it too my friend.

I think its important to make a distinction between rolexmagazine.com (Jake's World) and corporate Rolex

I am the one who wrote the story (my name is at the top of the story). I have no incentive in making up the Rolex source I quoted directly. You could argue I gain clicks. But I don’t need the clicks. We have zero advertisement and that’s what I love about Jake’s Rolex World. Rolex is kind enough to talk to us — as a fan blog — and propagating lies would damage our reputation with them and you, the readers. My reputation is everything. My full name is on the article.

I get the doubts though, totally justified. There are indeed so many lies in the Rolex world. I stand 100% behind my article. I don’t own an LV, new or old.

I also think it’s a breath of fresh air that Rolex doesn’t trumpet an anniversary change. It’s done and over done. In my opinion, we have too many anniversaries; we even have too many releases every year.

Danny

Totally agree, makes no sense why there isn't a press release about a anniversary model.... That has the exact same reference # as before.

Bark and Jack said in a live video yesterday that he couldn't say for privacy reasons who told him at Rolex about the color change. That's ridiculous, makes zero sense.

A fact is something you can prove in a court of law. Everything else is just an opinion.
