Some people have 2 GMTs… some people have 2 pepsi gmts…

Yes very similar watches. But not the same. Enjoy all the same…

A Sub and GMT pair is just about perfect for me.

GMT and Sub fit well in a collection. Easy link works well for me if the bracelet overall is a proper fit. I have more color variety in my GMT group and have come to appreciate that look. Sub feels a bit more efficient and tool like on the wrist IMHO. Best of luck to OP in yoir next move.

Foundation of any Rolex collection--Submariner and GMT. Two entirely different watches. Date, no-date; brushed Oyster, blingly jubilee, etc. Diver and Aviation.

Can easily have both Icons within a collection. I’ve got both: Submariner 124060 and GMT II 126170 BLRO And enjoy them equally. I find the Submariner is certainly more low key while the GMT BLRO has a bit more pop and presence on the wrist due to the bezel color way and jubilee bracelet. Both extremely comfortable. .

A GMT with a no-date would be a good pairing

I have the exact same duo AJ, and love them both for much the same reasons.

I own both the 124060 and 126710blro and wouldn't part with either. Both are tyruly exceptional and massively different, especially since the GMT is on jubilee.

With a black bezel GMT (116710LN), it often gets mistaken for a Submariner. I would happily own both but not with the same colour bezel.

I have ceramic subs and ceramic GMTs in my collection.
I’ve never struggled without glidelock, and actually rarely ever use the glidelock.

Easy link for me is more than enough.

In an ideal world all would have some sort of glidelock system, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.

So do many people have both a GMT and Sub? As a diver, I like the functionality of both watches, but am I crazy given they appear so similar as rotating bezel Rolex?

My GMT and photo of old Sub for reference, because why not?

this is great combo in every colection, both is great!

I own both, one (Sub) in WG and the SS BLNR. I won’t have the BLNR much longer (hey! I have to pay for the sub!) so when it came down to decision time on which one I would choose to keep (in PM) here are the key points.

1. I just like the 41MM size of the Sub better. Yeah yeah, I know, how much can one MM difference make, but I swear it does make a difference.
2. Maybe this should be 1 and 1/2, but the bezel on the GMT really bugs me. It just seems too…. MUCH. It seems like it sits TOO high, the numbers are TOO big…. I really like the way the sub bezel looks and feels on the wrist.
3. The glidelock is HUGE. Maybe I am weird (well, I definitely am, but for lots of reasons) but I find myself changing the setting several times a day. The 5MM adjustment on the GMT is nice, but nothing beats the GL.
4. Yes, I would use the second time zone, so that is a plus for the GMT.
5. Finally, and this is a big one, I REALLY wish the sub had a quick-set like the GMT hour hand. It makes switching time zones som much more convenient.

In the end, I chose the PM sub over the GMT, the biggest reason is how it appears and wears on my wrist, but it sure was a close race.

I would opt just for the Sub. GMT looks too busy next to the Sub. I would wear the Sub much more.

Zero. Once the bracelet fits. It fits. Especially the jubilee. I wear the sub much more though

Think as long as they don’t both have the black bezel they will be different enough

After getting my BLNR, I found my no date sub to be redundant in appearance. After a few months of contemplating, I offloaded the sub and don't regret my decision.

I can see there being room in a collection for both if there is more significant color difference, however.

Here is my combo. I do miss the glidelock and brushed finish when I wear my GMT. I’m also on the list for a LV.
