Please help identify this very early Sub bezel

Hi, Any one know the what model the first bezel comes from?
I purchased the second thicker one to go on a 5508, which seems to be correct, but the supplier sent a wrong insert. I made a complaint and he sent me a new set that included a vintage insert. Problem is that he insert from the first picture does not fit the 5508 bezel. It is slightly too small and has a different profile as it seems to be shallower. The last picture shows the two together. If the thinner bezel and insert are genuine, I will sell them to fund my search for the correct insert. Hope this makes sense! Any help appreciated, thanks.

Steven, your knowledge is wonderful as ever.
Is it worth anything? if not I will have to send the whole lot back for a refund and start the search again.
Thanks,
Jeff.

sure its worth a few shukkles...lol
but the question is,did youy ever get the bezel for your watch?or are you just looking for the insert now?
the 5508 insert is a peculiar size..its a a couple micron's smaller than the standard 5513 insert.
unfortuantely they are quite rare and you will pay thru the teeth for a nice example..
good luck my friend!!

Hi Steven,
Thanks for your help. I did manage to get the bezel and retaining spring luckily, but there ws this awful modern copy insert with it. See http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=82507 (#16)
I complained to the supplier, thats when he sent me the vintage insert form the Turn-o-graph along with its bezel and as you know, the insert is a different size.

so thats where I'm at. Hope it make sense!
Cheers.
