Icon5 “ICE OUT” full diamond DJ ii

Hi!

I really want to do full diamond for my DJ ii. Does Everyone own and have experience with ice out full diamond Rolex? How is the value of the watch in the future, re-sale value, point of view of professional collector?

Value will drop; you ice out for your self.

Find it already done. That seller is losing their ass on the sale and you should save a bunch. Reach out to a few gray dealers. They have access to these atrocities.

Do it. Huge upside. Immediate 10x in value. Don’t listen to the amateurs. They only want you to drop to their levels of jealousy driven depravity.

Post pics when done.

Just buy one already done, as the value will tank.

No real watch collector wants to touch an aftermarket set Rolex with a 10ft pole.

If you want to tastelessly destroy your Rolex then by all means have it done, but it will lose value.
Rolex will never service it unless you get a new case and everything else you destroyed.

One of my local ADs had this exact watch available - for purchase! - a few weeks ago. Champagne diamond dial, diamond-set bezel, and diamond-set band... it was, um, quite something to see. I wonder if it's still there? :D

I see no harm in doing it if it’s what you want to do to your watch , at the end of the day it’s yours.

The problem is that most aftermarket diamond setting is horribly done. There’s numerous examples for sale that are just terrible, big gaps, different sizes, different grades, always low grade worthless diamond shards.

In comparison Rolexes factory diamonds setting is amazing.

As others have said, it will probably devalue the watch, but there’s always a buyer for something.
