Hello OP,

I had a similar decision to make recently also, although between the white dial & the golden palm.

The white dial is great. Timeless, legible, and the applied gold indexes, crown etc, really ‘pop’. In person it is stunning however, maybe too safe if being super critical?!

The one I bought is the palm. To me it felt so much more of a special dial treatment, similar enough to classic champagne at a distance but with something unique about it on closer inspection. It isn’t as legible as the white but then again it’s a Datejust not an Explorer 2, I’m not sure what other watches you have but for me I’ve got plenty of super legible sports models, the appeal of the Datejust for me was to have something more elegant, dressy and classic in the collection so absolutely a non issue for me.

As others have said though, you gotta get what speaks to you - you couldn’t go wrong with either but at least for me I know one spoke to me so much more than the other, hopefully you’ll be able to look at both & trust your gut.

Looking forward to the incoming!

Hello, first of all such a watch is not a "Mona Lisa", so it is not unique. Choose the one you like the most. I really like the white dial, my wife clearly prefers the golden fluted dial.
