What Next?

Have a 2 1/2 year window for a personal milestone and wondering what would best round off this collection by then. Not looking to add another SS piece with integrated bracelet. So am thinking something in PM that straddles the gap between sport and dress?

Budget around 40k should be sensible, what say?

Current collection below. Happy to pare it down as well to eventually make sense.

A PM piece that can do both dress and sports (assuming Rolex) = DD40

Trade you BLNR and add cash for the white gold 126619LB Sub. I did and absolutely love it!

This is an already excellent collection. I'd add a rose gold DD40.

Your current collection is very nice. Adding a DD would make sense.

Rolex, maybe a Day Date. Alternatively, you could look at an AP like a Ref. 15510. The pink gold with blue dial and blue leather strap is a nice one. I think it retails for about USD 42K. Good luck finding your next piece.

The perfect watch to sit between dress and sport if you’re looking for something gold is probably a Day Date. But that has a metal band. For something more modern, albeit less practical due to the lack in water resistance, I think someone who likes a Lange case, as you clearly do, would also like an AP Code 11.59. Personally I‘d go with one of the chronos in a gradient dial in that pricerange, but the new steel three handers are pretty nice as well (though not gold).
What also bridges the gap pretty well by virtue of just how large it is is a Lange Timezone. Gold Speedmaster, also a good choice.

Very nice collection. Congrats!

To get a PM watch straddling between sport and dress at below $40K, try a Patek 5524 at secondary prices. This watch is a little controversial as Patek is not know for pilot watch, but it certainly meet your criteria. Won’t work if you’re looking for getting one from the AD.

If you insist on getting a watch from an AD, another option is a VC fiftysix Complete Calendar or the Day-Date. It’s really a lovely watch when you can see it in metal. I suggest you go check it out.

I would strongly consider a Patek Aquanaut in rose gold. That would be a perfect finisher for this set!

Oysterflex Daytona. Precious metal bit rubber strap like an aquanaut to be sport and not worry about a soft gold bracelet

I know it's not possible for the addicted, but it would be really cool to have the A Lange as the one watch, wear it daily, and grow old with it. That's the vibe I get when I look at it

The Laureato is one of my favourites. Picked it up 2 years ago, when there was no Rolex available anywhere. It’s a great watch.. slim enough to wear under a shirt cuff and the level of detailing up close is quite nice at this price point…
