The QUARTZ(s) on my/(your?) wrist

How many TRF-fers own quartz watches, and still wear them on their wrists.
Show us what you have, or at least what you are willing to admit to having.

I picked up this dressy Longines just last month at a pawn shop... ...
... ... ...

.. .. and this Citizen Promaster does at least a dozen things that my rollies can't ...

.. .. I don't have an excuse for this Swatch Red Irony. I just kinda like it.

Yeah, before I realized I too could own one of those fabled Rolex watches, I shelled out $700 for a Tonino Lamborghini,

I have an Omega Seamaster, electric blue, quartz and love it! In addition I have several Swiss Army Chrono Classics that are quartz and love them as well. There is nothing wrong with quartz in my book! Cheers, Bill P.

I'm using a couple different Seiko quartz beaters with the day-date function.

I like this one though, . . . but don't have ¥250,000 in my back pocket .

There are quite a few great looking Seikos. I still sometimes wear my Seiko 6138 from my high school days.

Please, enjoy all of the clickable product links . . . : ) I think they all work

That particular Grand Seiko is the 35mm SBGF027, featuring the 8J55 movement.
¥ 255,000 list, less maybe 20%, plus HST, brings one back to $2,500.

The 9F83 movement is used in SBGT variant with day/date function.
SBGT029 SBGT031 SBGT019 SBGT021 SBGT014 SBGT019

I'm currently rotating in this SGF719P on a Seiko bracelet, with this decent oyster-type bracelet on it's way.

Sperry, thanks for the pic links. there's nothing wrong with the 8j. in fact i believe it has a 5 year battery life (9f is only 3) and has ability to independently set the hour hand and is rated at +/- 10 secs per year (correct me on all this if i'm off). of course the 9f movement is sealed with a 50 year service interval.
cheers!

I wear my old Seiko 7a28 once in a while. It was the first analog quartz chronograph.

My wife wears a Tag-Heuer midsize diver a day or two every week.

I was at one time an all mechanical person, however i have accumulated several quartz watches and i really enjoy them. There is something still special about a fine manual movement watch though

I have a $250 Seiko Rolex look a like, a very nice Movado Black Sapphire on a black leather strap for tuxedo wear. There are a few others, but none get the wrist time anymore like my TT DJ.

I have two quartz watches that I wear on a somewhat irregular basis.

My Omega X-33, I wear primarily to time our morning walks.

My Citizen Skyhawalk I wear sometimes just for the hell of it.

I also have an early Seiko quartz digital with a solar battery and about 10 Casios of various models, all with an analog face, multiple digital time zone, one or more alarms, chrono function, and a data bank to store numbers and other information. The last one I bought in this vein was also regulated by the atomic clock signal out of Ft. Collins, CO. It's the one I use to set all my other watches.

Thanks JJ. I like it and got it at a very good price as well (less than US100). I suspectr one factor is that Longines does not have the cache that it used to, or that its history/quality/design deserve.

It's called Mister Chrono, and it can be had straight from the Swatch Store for a mere 110 dollars.

Quite a nice watch, and very very lightweight and comfortable.!

And a crappy camera phone pic.
