Many thousands of Pepsis produced.
Great watch, but not a unique collector’s item.

If I get fed up with the colour saturation balance I can just take it indoors.

It’s actually true and for us Rolex lovers it is alarming. We will eventually get used to it or find other means.

That lighting is all wrong. Makes it look blue! You're letting the "Purple Is Blue" team down.

I got mine in October '22. Received wisdom has it that it's the Mk3 but to be honest, I don't know or care. It's my BLRO, and that's all I care about.

Is your AD going to carry CPO?
Ah interesting, thanks. Seems to be the same information. I don't know if my AD will carry they CPO (they already sell pre-owned) but I do know the manager went to W&W so would have met with Rolex

Funny your SA knows the inner most workings of Rolex SA, but wouldn't be able to tell you what is coming in the next shipment or even when that shipment is coming.

I don't really place much stock in which "mark" bezel the 126710BLRO has. Yes, when the model initially launched the colors did seem a little "off" with the blue having a violet tone and the red appearing more cranberry. Less than a year later Rolex really seemed to have perfected the red and blue and I haven't noticed any significant difference since.

The bezel is objectively difficult to create. There's some extremely minor variability in the process. And I can make my BLRO bezel look all sorts of colors depending on what light I take a picture in.

Looks like the first gen bezel in that lighting, which is what I’ve been saying for quite some time … the colors have come full circle

I'm skeptical by nature, so pretty much anything I read on the internet is a rumor until it's been proven a fact.

And a refresher course for what's a fact. Something you can prove in a court of law.

My AD in Mexico told me they’ll be receiving less BLRO than usual, maybe the rumor it’s true. I received mine two weeks ago.

Can’t be true, I got my BLRO last December. For Rolex to reduce production after I got mine…. I could never get that lucky!

Given that the watches are no longer appreciating, perhaps the flippers are realising their gains immediately rather than stashing them away

I doubt this is true. I got mine in Nov 22 (so not too long ago). Plus I think if the production was reducing, secondary prices would have increased or at least stayed stable but they continue to decline albeit slowly (good thing in my view).

Color change, reduction of production, I just wish Rolex would come out with a Coke and an all-black bezel.

The mk2 & 3 BLRO are already more a "coke" than the "pepsi" imho

40% pepsi production cut due to difficulty with the salts in the blue part of the bezel production - the issue is a lack of consistency and reducing the purple hue.

Ah yes, all of the correct ‘salts’ are going to Pagani Designs to make their red/blue ceramic inserts… Would only make sense.

Now is that a good thing or a bad thing? My daughter who knows nothing about watches thought my BLRO had a black and red bezel, and this was under the bright sun!

Do most people MK I more? Sorry but all new to this as I recently picked up a BLRO.

Wasn't this a plot line in Breaking Bad?

100%.
Rolex is the biggest secret in the world.
No one knows anything and to think they'd tell an AD is a joke.
