Bingo!

Anyhow, I know it will sound weird for the first time what my feeling is: this watch looks like a fairly cheap watch. Really looks like a fake homage of their masterpieces, this is more a Big Fat MAD 1.

Therefore this price tag seems a little bit ridiculous for me.

Wow the new MB&F HM8 Mark 2

I wanted to love this because frankly I can afford it which is rare for an MBF but zero chance I’m dropping 80k USD to stare at that boring GP movement. This is the Lotus of watches if there’s ever been one. Wonderful chassis boring motor.

I wish they offered this to tribe members at cost instead of the mad one.

That’s an in-sane amount of money for that movement. Looks gimmicky.

70k tho lol. For a second I considered selling my Rolex DayDate rose gold with olive green dial haha

Also for a split second I thought this was a new MAD1 design when seeing the Axe on top

The MAD One was actually inspired by some of these earlier HMs. Not the other way around.

love the design, but this watch is not for me. a lot of other watches preowned that I could buy and enjoy wrist time with.

Another atrocity from MB&F. Perfectly understand their design philosophy the and the modernity / breath of fresh air they are providing to the industry but they really are not for me.

I love MB&F and I really hope to own one at some point but I’m absolutely cracking up from your response. I totally get it.

I like it! I think it really conveys its strong automotive intentions with the design. But for 70k there are other pieces which interest me more.

I dream of a world where MB&F expands their M.A.D. line to include stuff like this. Would eagerly pay more than 3K usd for one, but much, much, less than 70k usd.

Same here! Hoping the next iteration of MAD1 isnt the same as blue and red but a diff color.

I paid 8.5k for the Blue Mad and honestly worth every penny. Its super light and feels like a $30k watch on my wrist and just brings me joy
