New one…

I never expected to own this watch. I was looking at a DJ, a watch I have owned many times before. This is a different animal to say the least. I like the ”sport Rolex” attributes and the colors, and I think I will enjoy this one a lot.

I know this is a polarizing piece, but I’m not so sure why. In person it is much more subtle than it appears in pictures.

Looks great!

I like this watch, I tried the previous gen on and I thought it was great on the wrist. My big issues with the prior version was the lack of lume at 3/6/9, to me that was a big miss. Now that they've fixed that I think it's a much better watch. Still a kinda busy dial with a lot going on, so I can see why some don't like it, but I think it's cool and appreciate the bit of color on it.

I’m with you. When I saw this in person, I thought it was amazing. Not sure why the controversy.

Doesn’t matter what people here say or think, it’s a cool watch which I’m sure you will get a lot of enjoyment wearing. Congratulations!

I think it’s polarising because it’s a great addition to a collection but probably not a favourite for anyone - but as others have said enjoy it.

I loved the new AK when the first one came out. I love this one even more when it was released! Such a beautiful and unique piece. No other Rolex looks like the AK and it definitely stands out to me. A big congrats!

I never would have rocked the previous AK. But this one, with the subtle tweaks, I would! It's a very cool piece. Congrats.

Congrats. I have the 116900 which was my first Rolex and love it. I like the new one, but will stick with the one I have. Enjoy.

Very classy in a subtle understated way. It doesn't need to scream 'look at me' but it's quite beautiful nonetheless. May need to reconsider trying to obtain an Air King.

Great watch OP. I was fortunate to have picked one up at my local AD. I love the subtle splash of green and yellow on the dial. Great size, and it flies under the radar. Not your typical Rolex. My SS Submariner Date, and my 36mm white dial DateJust is in my collection. This one is different in so many ways. I love it. Enjoy it OP. It’s definitely a conversation starter for those who love watches.

Nice! Congrats OP.

The AK is one of those niche Rolex’s like the YM2. It’s not for everyone, but it’s not on every Rolex fan’s wrist either.

I would definitely snap one up if my AD offered it to me, I love the green and yellow writing on the dial
