Thoughts - DD40 with Diamond Indices?

What does everyone think of the YG DD40 with a black dial and Diamond baguette indices?

Saw one in exhibition and torn between which I like more between it and a “standard” YG DD 40 with black dial and baton indices

I bought the YG with white romans.
If I was buying diamond on YG it would be the Onyx not the standard black
If RG it would be the Eisenkiesel
WG it would be Meteorite
Plat Ice Blue Diamond (this is my favorite and on my list with my AD)
Diamonds on the 36 just look like chips now due to the diamonds on the 40
BUT
Buy whichever you like most, you can't go wrong its a DD!

I love the baguettes on the DD40. Im not a huge fan of lumed indices on a DD but I do prefer sticks over romans. The baguettes are the best of both worlds and make the watch even more special. The black baguette dial is my favourite YG DD40. The champagne dial is actually stunning with baguettes but it’s a lot of bling.

They are very nice. I have several diamond dial Swiss watches, but not a Rolex. I am considering getting a 36 mm Black diamond dial DJ. In fact, I’m on the proverbial list, for it.

The baguettes look wonderfu! I did just sell my RG day date with baguettes to fund another piece, and I will say they did nothing really from a value perspective though. That shouldn’t matter but wanted to at least point it out if considering a value proposition — the difference is very little if at all.

That being said I agree with most on this thread that Rolex does baguettes extremely well.

Assuming you mean the % difference between purchase and sale was the same? Or at least thats what I can see from C24

I do have to say the baguettes looked so good! Shame its not possible to try them on in the Sunlight as I am sure it would have popped even more! Are they harder to find/presumed longer wait than the indices versions?

I think he means that if you resell it, the diamond markers don’t add much to the value of the watch.

Beautiful watch in any configuration.

Prefer plain stick indices myself.

Yeah the inclusions vary a lot but they’re all on that same area, my dial it’s really tight, but some of them are much wider.
