Reissue Seiko 5 Limited Cool re-issue SBSA223 / SRPK17

This is a great sports watch re-issue limited edition.

And its way less than US$500.

100m water resistant.

Steel bracelet is highly adjustable/customisable.

Retro cool bezel & dial. Classic hands. Day & date!

Red second hand! Domed crystal and recessed crown, nice going.

What more could anyone want.

I'm a huge fan of this watch! Might actually consider getting one, the styling is superb. Based on that video review though, I would likely put it on a Milanese, but do like the look of the OEM bracelet.

Yes it looks great.

https://youtu.be/7V2rKumKKNs

This 55th Anniversary of the Sports 5 is limited to 15,555 pieces

But some say it is not easy to find
I found one on ebay for USD$380 from Dubai including shipping.

I have seen this watch on jubilee, it looks nice, but you could possibly put it on an oyster style bracelet too.

P.S. I saw this watch fitted with a red day wheel (true to the original) which was a very cool mod.

Love it. Even the box is cool. I'd really like to pick up one of these.

Yes, Seiko did a great job with this one.

Here’s a thread with photos and an incoming: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=907065

Great looking watch in the flesh, it lives up to expectations.

However, the crown seems to be too far recessed into the case to wind it manually...?

This is undoubtedly the coolest and best bang for buck Seiko release in the last 10 years.

I’ve wanted one ever since I’ve seen it. Unfortunately my Canadian AD sold out all the allocations. On my current trip to HK, the Seiko store confirmed that these sold out super quick.

Fingers crossed I can find one still

They were sold out here too. I got mine on ebay from the UAE of all places. Paid about retail or just under and received it super fast (3 days).

I don't know if it is really sold out or it is just being released in batches. With 15,555 being available I don't think they could possibly sell out the entire series in a month or two....

Yes Dan, its got a slightly domed plexiglass crystal that gives a very cool vintage look. There are quite a few YouTube videos which show it really well.

It got that funky 60's - 70's vibe.
So out the box its great save for some who say the bracelet grabs their hairs or does not bend enough, but you can remedy that with an aftermarket strap or bracelet.

The Miltat Jubilee at around $70 is a great bracelet (my favourite) for this model.

The Strapcode website for the J bracelet has the code: SS201620B130S

I'm assuming Strapcode owns the Miltat trade name.

The size of the bracelet to order is 20mm.

The bracelet is also for sale on Amazon for about the same price.
