I’ve tried this with my explorer. It looked a million times better than it wore, looked awkward and not in proportion on the wrist.

OP - curious if you still have it in your collection? The first time I ever saw an explorer on oysterflex was the only time I thought to myself that this model actually looks better on the OF than it does on the original bracelet. This is one of current day Rolex’s for which it actually makes good sense to offer that as an option imo. |

So glad I’ve seen this.
I am seriously considering this for my 114270. It’s just if I can get the OF to work with the older style clasp? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That looks so good, really has that “factory” look.

Joined the club - absolutely in love with this one, could see it being my primary wear for many years to come.
I did find that sizing the oysterflex straps wasn't trivial - my wrist is a touch under 7" and D/F was the correct fit. Even though E/F on tighter clasp setting technically fit (and is what would be the default size for a Daytona), having the 12 o'clock strap on the tighter clasp setting isn't ideal as it's sandwiched between the inner folding part of the clasp and outer shell, while the 6 o'clock strap is allowed to rotate freely, resulting in a bit of an awkward fit with the watch shifting up on the wrist/clasp down. I think for this setup you want to have the 12 o'clock strap link on the middle (with easy link extended) or outermost setting for optimal fit, with strap lengths selected accordingly. |
