I have the Horofix pliers and they work great. One issue I have is when I set the width using the screw system when bracelet is on, the spring bar is longer when bracelet is off. It’s kind of a pain in the ass to readjust every time.

I just ordered the Horofix tweezers. I’ll give them a go.

I just purchased the Bergeon and it's a very helpful and finely crafted instrument. Admittedly, I've never used any other watchmaker tools but these work really well, feel comfortable, and don't look or feel cheap.

If you don't have the skills to change a lightbulb, you're not going to magically possess a watchmaker skills. However, if you practice on a doner watch and use care, a bracelet change won't be the mystery it once was. Plus, you'll save time (important!) and money (less important but always a factor worth considering)
There are some things that you should never skimp upon to save a couple of bucks.

Just stumbled upon this thread because I’m researching this myself and have a quick question. I’m looking to simply move the bar contained within the clasp of my non-Rolex to another position. Need I buy this Bergeon or is their an easier way? Thank you in advance.

It is a good copy, but Bergeon is superior. Seems to me the Bergeon tips are better hardened steel.

Looked into spring bar tool options a bit ago...

Tools $135-$160 US

The Bergeron Tweezers seem to have the most support from TRF members. The tips may break, replacements are ~$80US.

Tools under $100US

The Horofix Tweezers have some support on TRF and on other watch forums. The tips may break, there is an included extra set and replacements are ~$25US.

I've seen less support for either set of pliers, but there are a few positive comments on those. I've found no specific comments suggesting the similar appearing units were made in the same factory. Some people still prefer a single straight tool, you can find those options at both URLs linked below.

Two sites mentioned that list some or all of the above products for sale are linked below, I'm sure there are others. Make sure you select the appropriate tips for your application(s):

https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band-tools/

http://www.ofrei.com/page252.html

You might also consider using protective tape ( here or here ) to minimize scratching the case when removing/reinstalling.

I own both the Bergeon and Horofix tweezers. While I'm a huge Bergeon fan I find the Horofix to be as good for a lot less money. I've had both for about 4 years and have not broken the tips of either one. I bought the Horofix first and then decided I wanted to go "premium" with the Bergeon since I change bracelets/straps a lot. But there's no difference. To me anyway.

Now as for a simple spring bar tool I wouldn't use anything other than the Bergeon 6767. Top notch tool for a reasonable amount of money (~$17).

The 6825 pliers allow you to pre set the squeeze adjustment length. This is helpful. I bought the Horofix version and needed the extra thin tips for the Rolex.

The tweezer types are the easiest to work with.
I like the original Rolex tool 3200

Have the Horofix pliers....they're....okay. Wish I had the Bergeron, they look easier to use and the tips looks sturdier (broken a couple on my Horofix, they're very fragile). Bergeron are expensive though, seems way expensive for what they are....but I believe they're functionally the better option.

I found it better to get a professional change the bracelet after gauging the back of a very expensive watch.

Is there a consensus on tweezer vs single side at a time with a 6767? I have the plier and found the 6767 easier, but have not tried a tweezer style.

This is especially true when re-attaching spring bars.

I have the Bergeron tweezer tool, and it worked well to change the position of the bar in the clasp. If you are talking about moving the spring bar, to a different set of holes, you don’t need the Bergeron, just a cheap set of Watch tools, from Amazon. The correct tool for that is a pin pusher.

I have the Horofix and it works well for me. I change bracelets from jubilee to oyster on my Batman / Batgirl combo.
