Series 26470 Price variances
Curious on why such price discrepancies exist in this particular series of AP. I like this series as it's a better used price market.
The "elephant" / "vampire" appear to be the lowest cost. But then the ghost is near 10k more just for the ceramic bezel? Is there something else I'm missing? There is also a ceramic vampire which carries the same premium. Then there is a blue dial model that is not ceramic but priced like the ceramics. Hoping an expert can chime in here. I like this series as they are a bit on the newer side and I appreciate an open case back for 20+K I enjoy seeing the movement myself as I appreciate the art. I also like that nothing is coated in that odd rubber material (pushers, bezel, etc). Cheers. |

I’m no expert, however you’re correct that the IO versions (Titanium case and ceramic bezels) are more expensive than the ST (all Steal) models. I cannot recall the price differences between IO and ST when new but their would have been one.
I think the production runs on the IO models were significantly shorter than the ST versions also, so an element of supply versus demand will exist. I find the Ghost most appealing and hope the above helps until more educated contributors arrive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ah - so also titanium. And lower production numbers possibly.

I noticed across the AP offshore line, the ceramic pieces seem to be the most sought after, especially full case ceramic. But also ceramic bezel I guess due to scratch resistance. The platinum case seems to be most discounted, then steel. My guess is the weight is an issue on a big watch. My 44mm ceramic ROO weighs like 165grams which feels light on the wrist. But obviously limited production numbers affect value.
