New Watch Valuation Index: ChronoPulse

Ok, buy what you love, so "investment" is definitely a four-letter word here.

But knowing whether one reference could soon fit your budget -- or knowing collecting doesn't mean going broke if calamity struck -- is useful information.

If you missed it, Chrono24 released ChronoPulse this past week. I believe it's a game changer because of the wealth of data Chrono24 has regarding sold prices. (WatchCharts uses list prices.)

I wrote about it here: https://coron.et/new-1minute-reads/c...ew-value-index

Thanks for the info, Danny.

Is this going to be included in the Chrono24 website/app, or is it separate?

Are we able to narrow this down to a specific reference and see it's average or median sold price?

It's an index so it's a basket of watches that make up the chart. You should be able to see the underlying watches and their individual performance.

WatchCharts has been doing this for awhile. Separate indexes by brand and an overall. Here's their Rolex one and its composition.

Yes, you can rank by most changes, positive or negative for a certain period (6 months, a year, etc...). Below is the one-year range. Like I said, the difference here is it's using actual sold prices, which is more accurate than list prices, as prices are usually negotiated.

Not separate. Go to Chrono24, site or app, and the link ChronoPulse is there.

lol the patek index is just the most popular steel and hype models which represents like 10% of what they do. This index is not good.

They are weighted by transactions though in order to be relevant to a trader. You won't find $2M watches in that list. Same can be said for Vacheron.
