Can anyone tell me how a sea-dweller wears compared to a sky-dweller?

In my opinion two of the clunkiest watches Rolex makes. I don’t think either look great in their modern iteration

I deemed the skyD too big for me to buy, but I own the SD43, and it fits my smaller wrist but at the limit. I do find my wrist a bit tired after a full day of wear that I do not feel from a sub for example.

As someone who just looks at wrist shots of these watches regularly, I can honestly say they just look too big and bulky, on almost everyone. It’s hard to believe they are comfy. Just go try one on, at an AD…...

I own both the Sd43 and two different sky dwellers. Jubilee and oyster, this being said I adore all three of them. I also own an LV sub and love the color but I wish it was bigger like the sd43. To me all three of them are “just right” in size I don’t feel that they wear top heavy or are disproportionate at all. They all three get lots of wrist time. Most recently I wore my a skydweller on oyster bird hunting. It might seem a little crude to take such a “beautiful” watch hunting but it is a Rolex after all and wore just fine.

SD43 and Sky-Dweller wear the same but the Sky-D has a lot more presence with its fluted bezel and fancier dials. This seems to be magnified on those with small wrists. I can’t see the complaints at all. I mostly wear an Explorer II and it feels no different wearing an SS Sky-D. A gold Sky-D brings the heft and you feel it in a great way. The size is of zero concern on my 7.75” wrist.

With so many haters standing in line to criticize the Sky-D on every thread, it has to wear dramatically larger on small wrists. On my wrist the EXPII, YM42 and Sky-D wear the same. All three have taken turns as my daily, so I know them better than any of the haters.

I want to love the SkyD but can't see myself owning it. Nice chunky watch but the complication is useless to me - sorry.

Own and enjoy both. Depends on the occasion which I wear. Overall prefer my blue dialed Sky-Dweller on Oyster bracelet.
