Places for service and an old Bob Ridley Question

Hey all - I have not been on the forum much the past few years bit am back interested. Wondering about recommendations for service and a question if its allowed.
The last time I was here in significant amounts was a few years ago, and at the time there was a dustup around Mr. Ridleys operation. And the woman who ran the office. I had one very positive experience and one fairly negative one. But can someone tell me the current thoughts on him if he is still around and if not some recommended service providers.

Again, my last post last week bugged some folks so hopefully this is ok...its an honest question.

I recently (within the past 6 months) received my serviced ref. no. 6466 from Bob who did an incredible job. Yes, it took some time but his work exceeded my expectations. Jana his assistant kept me well informed through the process as well. I would definitely recommend.

Nobody was bugged. Your Thread was about fakes and counterfeits, an illegal activity, which is contrary to Forum rules and guidelines.

Bob Ridley in Texas and his son Phillip Ridley in Arizona are excellent watchmakers with plenty of positive reports.

Any "dustup" was from a disgruntled former employee posting unverified remarks for a short while; something the Internet is full of now days.

This^ I can vouch for Bob, your watch could not be in better hands. I've read the same for his son Phillip.

Thank you - yes the employee was very vocal and likely disgruntled. Good to hear as I may end up wanting to send him something.
Sorry about the other post, it was more curiosity I can take it down if I knew how - I'm not as active or knowledgeable as just about everyone else here but I enjoy it.

I used Phillip Ridley for my 1973 1675/3 and he was a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and helped me source a period correct bezel when the original was not repairable. Quick turn around and very willing to get on the phone to discuss options. Would highly recommend his services—as I have in many other threads!
