M early collection consisted of 5 or 6 subs.

Both of those are great but there are too many amazing watches to own two so similar

Went SD43 ...... Great size but worn uncomfortably at times for me due to the protruding case back on my flat 7.25 wrist

Traded for a Date sub 41mm, never looked back.

I keep trying to convince myself to buy a 124060, I think it is the perfect daily wear watch, but every time I put one on my wrist it just seems boring compared to the Sea Dwellers. The whole feeling of it, not just the looks, the Submariners do not feel like anything special to strap on my wrist and I sold my last one because of that. If I hadn't been daily wearing a Pelagos for the last decade and become attached to it, I could see a Sub/SD duo being a great pair, SD43 would be my top pick if the caseback doesn't bother your wrist, for me the flat back DeepSea is more comfortable and more interesting.

I recently traded my 124060 for the SD43. Both are great watches but the SD43 is a game changer for me. I might be in the minority, but at 54 my eyes like the cycolps. I had the diver's extension removed and the glidelock makes for a perfect fit. I'd never trade back. Just my .02

I had planned to get an SD43 at one point, but it was just too big and top heavy, and felt awkward and uncomfortable to wear. I have large wrists also. I was still into larger watches at the time, so ended up with a Sky-Dweller.

This discussion is great! Im on the fence about my first Rolex, and these are two of the watches that I'm considering. To quote one of my favorite movies..
There can be just one"
