Any Taika Waititi fans?

Yes, I know he directed Thor, but I am a fan of his for different reasons. Some of his less known projects is what won me over.
"Hunt for the Wilderpeople" and "Boy" - talk about heartfelt movies. Incredible all-around.
"Reservation Dogs" - one of the best shows of our time. Tells a beautiful story without being pretentious, you'll laugh, you'll cry.
"Jo Jo Rabbit" - again, beautifully made movie about a pretty sensitive topic
And I am not even mentioning 'What We Do In The Shadows" (movie and the show).

I am usually not one to respect celebrities, but he is an exception. Been following his work ever since 'Flight of the Conchords.' All of his projects have so much heart, it is a refreshing change against the backdrop of 'same ol', same ol' that has been plaguing the entertainment industry. Anyone else a fan?

Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Boy & Jo Jo Rabbit were great. I also liked him in the show Our Flag Means Death.

You know, the 'Our Flag Means Death' is probably my least favorite project of his. Still great, but I find it a bit slow moving

Love What We Do In the Shadows(movie particularly) and Our Flag Means Death.

I believe our Flags Mean Death may be my favorite TV series. The first few Seasons of What We Do In the Shadows was great but it sort of fell of around the time Jermaine Clement stopped writing for them.

Hunt for the Wilder People was a great one as well. I’m always recommending that one since most people aren’t too familiar with it.

Lastly. I know it may be too stupid for most but I also love Wellington Paranormal.

His work in Thor Ragnarok was great, but I didn’t care for Love and Thunder at all. Not sure what happened there, but Disney has generally ruined the whole Marvel line IMO, so it may not be entirely on him. Who knows what happens in the back end of it all.

My user name is even inspired by What We Do In The Shadows. Just a regular human barkeep… (Plus the last name sort of falls in line with Rolex funnily enough)

The 'Jackie Daytona' episode is one of my faves. The arch is great. His 'disguise', mostly having a toothpick in his mouth had me

I’m there with you. Absolutely loved that episode. There are so many golden moments to quote from it.

Thanks. I’ll have to grab one. I was briefly looking last night but couldn’t find it.

I'd have given Jojo Rabbit the Best Picture Oscar over Parasite, all day, every day.
