Need help finding a term...

There's cognoscenti...and then there's.....???? Whats the other term Im looking for? "For the people/masses"?

Definitions needed for both please...I think cognoscenti (connoisseurs) prefer haute horology brands (Patek, Breguet, Vacheron, etc...)

The other (unknown) term is for those who like TAG Heuer, Omega, Breitling, Rolex and other brands along those lines.

Thanks for all the replies guys...I think I read the term a year or two back in WatchTime...I think Joe Thompson was reporting about Basel and used the term describing a Rolex...all the details are hazy to me....If I could just find that word! I am on the verge of going batty. You have been warned.

Thats it! Hoi Polloi!!!

Thanks a million...I've been googling/asking/wikiing/TZing for that past few hours! Im so relieved, no need to have a nerveous breakdown now. Funny thing was I was close on memory, I wrote down "Hoil" when I was trying to remember what that term was.
