Help with "Z" series SS Sub Date!

Hello, I have a Z series SS Sub Date...and I just cannot see the laser engraved coronet. Never really looked for it until now, but cannot see it. Also, I bought this watch from a very reputable AD known all over the place, so not really concerned on it being a fake at all, but hey, who knows right? Does anyone know if this series is even supposed to have the engraved coronet by the 6 hour marker? if so, is it visible by the naked eye bc I cannot see it. Thanks for all the help in advance!!....

I have a "Z" Sea-Dweller and I can't find mine either. I saw it at the AD under the microscope with a light, but I still can't find it on my own.

Don't worry

It can be VERY difficult to find those little suckers. I eventually had to get out my LED Maglite and shine it at an angle to the crystal. Eventually I found it but it was difficult. Keep looking under various light sources and slowly move the watch at different angles. If all else fails take it in to the AD and have them help you find it.

It's tough to see. I actually saw it for the first time when I was parked in my car, waiting for a friend to come out of a store, as the sun high overhead beat down. I had my arm hanging out the window and tilted the watch at just the right angle. It worked like a charm.

I can just barely make mine out with the naked eye in the right lighting, at the right angle.

The Z series will definately have the laser etching!!
It is hard to see but at the right angle and light it is visible for those of us with good eyesight!!
Rolex has been etching the crystal since around 2002 I think....Please corrct me if I'm wrong, but I know for sure the Z will have it...My oldest,an F series sub has it and thats from 2005.

Don't feel bad. Took me about 30 tries and 45 minutes to finally find it on mine. Must say I was relieved I found it.

Mine is one of the Z series SS sub date and it has laser engraved coronet on it at 6 o'clock. You might need a magnifier to see it. It is very small. good luck!

Point flashlight source in an angle from 12hour to 6 hour... the laser engraving should come up.

If you go outside in direct sunlight and move the watch around at the right angle, it will pop out at you. Don't look directly at the watch, you need to be at a angle.

I saw in another thread in the forum that a good way to find the LEC is to use a laser pointer. It is supposed to really make the etching stand out. You can get one for a buck or two at a pet shop.

I'm going to pick up an "LV" tomorrow and I will have my laser pointer. I'll let you know how it works out. (I believe I saw it when I examined the watch earlier, butn confirmation will be a good thing.)
