So while Bel Canto buyers deal with endless delays CW releases another new watch

A bit ridiculous now that while people wait over a year and multi delays for their Bel Canto’s, Christopher Ward keeps cracking out watches as if they were competing with Ming for who can make the most watches in the shortest time

While I understand the sentiment behind this, I also don't think a brand should pause the release of a wide catalog of watches to divert all production bandwidth to one potential line. So I'm glad they're able to keep the flow of other products somewhat steady while dealing with a heavily backlogged Bel Canto. Seems counter intuitive to have to wait 2 years to get one of their divers just because of the Bel Canto, right?

You do not understand how production works.

Very unlikely releasing a new product materially impacts wait times for a different product which might have very different material suppliers etc...

It's been like this for the majority of consumer brands I have owned.

I'm just kinda surprised that the Moonglow is already on a V2 release.

I've seen people post something similar to this before and it just doesn't bother me at all. They're a company that needs to have cash flow and are doing what they have to for that to happen.

I've been delayed for my Bel Canto as well actually finally got the email to pay the balance this week when original estimate was months ago. It just never bothered me it's a toy that I in no way need but will be just as excited to open this month as I woulda been a few months back.

For me this appears to be just an update to a current model and not a brand new model.

Supposedly they supposedly had to send a number back for “reworking.” Sounds like they are catching manufacturing issues at the quality control stage.

Sorry to hear it.

However, I hope it will be completely repaired soon, and so you will have a real world traveler watch

Look, i TOTALLY get the anger of delay after delay. On the other hand, it is an amazing timepiece that works well. Of course being a small mechanical marvel means QC needs extra care and attention.

Am utterly amazed, frankly, considering the ask.
