Actually, speaking of steaks, rather than using the grinder, last week I used a mortar and pestel to crack peppercorns and sea salt as seasoning for a 1-inch thick ribeye, along with a bit of olive oil. Every two minutes I turned it over and sprinkled more seasoning over it and it was be-ooo-tiful!
