I was scammed by Drand - took my money & never shipped

I sold my GP Laureato in order to do a rebuy of a DJ 126200. I wired $7160 to the seller, Drand, on the Rolex Forums. I'd been emailing him about this piece going back to November.

Then after selling my Laureato, I wired him the funds, it took 2 days for him to receive it, he acknowledged it, and was going to ship but had to take son to hospital. We still stayed in regular contact, brought him home on Sunday and was going to ship on Monday. But couldn't do to holiday and he emailed me that and that's the last I've heard. I've emailed numerous times and he's ghosted me.

He has a presence on Rolex forums and this is a listing of his watches...

I see zero feedback about Drand in the who’s who section, other than about this scam. Unless I’m missing it, he appears to be a zero feedback seller here.

I did not check feedback on him since I saw the long posting history and I had been emailing him since back in Nov 23 about this DJ 126200 he was selling.

The when I was able to move forward by selling my Laureato, he was responsive all along, provided an invoice, detailed wiring instructions, and kept in contact waiting for the wire. Then the excuses began why shipping hadn't taken place. I feel stupid and embarrassed. I've been buying and selling for a few years over on Reddit and felt like I had a good sense of this seller. I was so wrong.

I've read your narrative and looked at your links. He is still a member - did you report the listing and all this info to the TRF Mods?

He just listed a watch last week here. I can supply any of the emails or the “invoice” from him.

At least he won't do it someone else here. I can supply emails, his online name in his emails, the invoice he sent me, and any other info.
