I prefer the Batman over Pepsi. It’s more understated compared to the Pepsi in the eyes of the casual/public. Both can be argued as statement pieces but the BLNR much less so.

I also have both. I preferred the BLNR (on jubilee) so I asked my AD for one and when I received it I wore it most and continue to love it.

My AD offered me a BLRO last Fall and I couldn’t say no. What I actually like about the newer BLRO is what most don’t-the muted Red. I’ve come to appreciate it more and I wear it quite often, so I guess I like them equally.

I also prefer the BLNR...on oyster.

Just cannot accept the 'burple' color of the current BLRO when compared to the vibrant 5-digit aluminum bezel. I was offered (twice!) the oyster and jubilee versions and turned them both down. Cannot fathom what people see in it...but to each his/her own.

With all due respect, notice that many that pick the BLNR are the ones that cannot get their hands on the BLRO, and for the ones that own both, they prefer the BLRO.

I could have had it. Only one I couldn’t get in sports SS is the Daytona. Also there are some that have both in this thread that prefer the BLNR. There is no right and wrong, it is just a preference.

I don’t think that is accurate.
The price vector on the grey market is close enough one will buy what they like verse a price point decision between the two GMT models.
Many of us that prefer the BLNR has owned the BLRO. There is a strong following for both GMT models.

I always assumed the BLRO would win this battle hands down, quite shocked to see the support for the good ol' BLNR!

lol wut...

If you can afford a BLNR you can afford a BLRO, at retail or grey market prices.

You think that us with BLNR's are just sat here with a consolation prize?

What a dumb comment.

I had initially registered my interest for the BLRO (already had a Sub). I'd always loved the 5 digit pepsi.

While waiting for my AD to come through, I tried on both the BLNR and BLRO a few times, and saw the BLNR in the wild a couple of times as well. I think I really wanted to like the pepsi more because of the history and because of my love for the 5 digit models, but every time I saw them both in person, I preferred the BLNR. Something about the colors just works for my eye, particularly on the jubilee.

Eventually, I told my AD to put me down for the BLNR instead, and that's the watch I recently bought.

I honestly couldn't be happier with it.

I still love the 5 digit BLRO, and could definitely see myself getting a minty 16710 down the line at some point.

Notice that I haven't said that one watch is 'better' than the other--just that I like the BLNR more personally.

It took me time to get past my preconceived notions about the older BLRO, and probably also the hype around the current model, and really get honest with myself about which watch I preferred.

Once I did that, the choice was easy.

I prefer the BLNR. I've had it now since 2016 & it's been my (mostly) daily. Even though I find the Pepsi a very nice watch, I have no desire to acquire one.

I think it really does just come down to personal preference. It's just a color difference. Much like a car, my friend once said when he saw my Corvette that it would've of been perfect if it would've been yellow.....The only color that I considered when buying my Vette was black. A simple difference in taste.

I bought a BLRO grey and think was persuaded by all the hype of them on here, I owned it one day and went back to my grey dealer and changed to a BLNR jubilee, the red in person I didn’t really like and the BLNR colours just seem crisper

I am now also considering moving to a GRNR bimetal

I'd totally get the BLRO if I could get my hands on it. I'd flip it immediately...

My favorite colors are blue and green in that order... BLNR for me.

At the moment, I can't get a BLNR or a BLRO so this post is pointless.

I strongly prefer my BLNR, and I did have the option to purchase either from my AD. I have not had any regrets whatsoever about my decision.

Not true. I could have obtained either from my AD (with about a 2 year wait), but I could only register interest in 1 at a time. My 1st choice was BLNR on jubilee which is what I got.

Not in my case. Newsflash - Some people just like different stuff.

I bought my BLNR before the BLRO was available in steel, so when it was released I put my name down for a BLRO (sight unseen) as well. But when it came in I was thoroughly disappointed with the bezel colours, and all the history in the world wasn't going to make up for that.

For me the BLNR was, is, and always will be, perfect.

The newer Pepsi colors seem off to me. My AD has them both to see and wear. He mentioned I could land a BLNR if I’m patient but the BLRO just isn’t available. I’d take either one and won’t be buying both. I do prefer the jubilee bracelet more as I see it in person.

Anyone prefers BLNR over BLRO?

Such a hard choice IMO

I agree the modern Pepsj colors are off but it’s still a damn fine watch I would love to have.

That being said the pop of the blue on the BLNR mixed with the subtle balance of black is pretty slick.

TBH, if my AD offered me a BLNR I would buy it, but I would never give up my BLRO.

I too prefer blnr over blro simply due to color. The blue looks so much better on blnr, while the shade of red on blro simply is underwhelming to me. The blue on blro appears purple. I also prefer black for night assignment on bezel. Personal preference. I do like the history of blro better, although it doesn't resemble the heritage color shades as mentioned above. I assume that's due to color limitations using ceramic.
