Shopping and a Purchase

Went shopping today and tried on a everose GMT and a yellow gold sub. Loves the GMT and put myself on the waiting list for it. Great AD experience: they could tell I loved watches because of the gold Reverso Duoface I was wearing (and which they examined closely) and the 1016 Explorer I brought in to have a link moved from one side to the other.

I did make a purchase too! But not there.

Nice one! Congrats! I really like the Octo Finissimo. Beautiful Rolexes you tried on as well.

Sounds like you had an awesome day at the AD! The Everose GMT is a fantastic choice—hope your wait isn't too long. The gold Reverso Duoface and 1016 Explorer must have impressed them for sure.

OP, what size wrist do you have? Did you like the Octo? I think it looks great!

I have a 7.5 inch wrist so the Octo fits quite well. It isn’t so much long lug to lug as it is wide. And I do love it. The case facets drive tremendous visual interest and the bracelet with its alternating polished and satin elements sparkles in the light

It's cool that the AD noticed your love for watches, especially with your Reverso Duoface and Explorer Putting yourself on the waiting list for the GMT shows your passion for collecting.

Love the Octo! I think it would look much better on your wrist if you wore it above the collar bone.

Agreed! It would look better above the bone. Not sure why some folks wear their watches that way. All the watches in the pic are beautiful, OP! You have good taste. Good luck in the hunt.

Very nice indeed, those are sharp. Glad to hear you had a nice AD experience, the way it should be always. PM Rootbeer is a special piece, hope you get yours soon.

Cheers,

Here is an above the bone picture. But it slips down as that part of the wrist is thicker.
