Looking To purchase TONIGHT in Bahammas..... need help!!
Hi Everyone -
Not terribly versed in pricing with Rolexes. Wanted to buy one while vacationing in the Atlantis resort in Paradise Island. Capitalize on no tax and discounting. Was looking at a stainless datejust with fluted bezel. retailing at $6160, taking 10% off with no tax. Out the door for $5445. Someone tell me, is this price good, really good, or ordinary? Shopping at John Bull. Thanks, Dr T |

What model DJ are we talking about?
If you mean the 116234 which retails for $6,400 then it's not such a good price. |

think thats the model - just tried to look it up on the official website - jubilee bracelet, roman numerals, fluted bezel, SS - again they listed it at $6100, lady told me its 10% higher on the mainland plus tax. Starting to think this is not the case...

That's a decent price but not a good one. I would use a mainland merchant who will ship to you without sales tax and give a bigger discount. Recession prices are still out there.

Wouldn't do it. 36mm datejust's which already take a dive in value the first few years are about to get a serious kick in the sack with the DJ 2 coming out. Come back home and buy the watch for way cheaper all day long from a seller here. If you can deal with a pre-loved in great condition, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how you can by the watch, and have enough to fly back first class to the resort.

agree with everyone above... 10% off is not a great deal. Push for the 20% - if they say no, walk and go grab a margarita!

My buddy of 16 years just moved there...he knows I'm obsessed with Rolex and when he visited NY a few months back, he said they're all duty free, and could find decent models cheap. I'll ask him nxt time I speak to him
