The urge to snack at 11:30PM...
OK, I think I'm over it. I had a big glass of ice water!
Not a poll, but...What do you grab for a late evening snack? I usually grab a big salad bowl... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and fill it half full of Lucky Charms or Life cereal. Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream fits the bowl really well, too! (You didn't think I was going to have salad at this late hour, did you? ) What do you grab for a late evening snack?

Just finished a slice of pizza and some grapes. Splashed them down with a rum and coke.

I love bagel bites !
I always eat (when I know I shouldn't) late at night. About an hour ago I polished off an entire box of peppermint patties :( And I wonder why I'm stuck at 225 lbs :( |

The hunger usually hits me at 10:00 PM. I get a 4 lb. bag of frozen, cooked and peeled shrimp once a week. I'll normally go through about 20 shrimp every other night with cocktail sauce like a real hog or like tonight, I'll eat a cold leftover steak from a cookout I had tonight with loads of salt!

I usually fight it off with water but if I give in I like nachos.
Or potato chips with cottage cheese as a dip.

Cereal is great. I also am fond of toast: it's got some crunch and is filling.

Calorie wise I could probably afford something more, but I find the 100 cal. microwave popcorn bags just right. Warm, take awhile to consume, tastes good and decent in fiber. Usually just right to stop the urge to eat more.
If that doesn't work, I just go to bed. Worse that can happen is a few extra hours of sleep and no meaningless calories. |

I eat anything that's available in the kitchen cabinets and pantry. It's different every time I snack. Could be spoons of peanut butter, nacho chips and salsa, fruit from the refrigerator, cereal out of the box, pretzels, etc.....

I just asked the wife if I can buy something, and the twenty minutes of her yapping puts me right to sleep.
