3 year wait
I did spend $10k on the wife, and bought my son a BB54 to get a GMT2 BLNR Batman but it’s nice to finally own a Rolex. My wife has a 28DJ. Sorry, no photos with my account.

Hopefully it’s stuff you would have bought your wife anyway.
That said Congrats on a great watch. |

It was things she wanted, and my son getting a Tudor was more for me. I bought him a Hamilton 3 years ago and it takes care of it so I wanted a lifetime watch. In the end he or his younger brother will end up with the few watches I own. The BB54 fits his wrist by removing all of the rubber links lol, at 24 years ago he’s a pretty skinny guy.

Congrats! It's amazing how these AD's work... some seem to get watches with no spend history, others are expected to spend more than it would cost just to get the watch on the grey market. All that said, I hope it was all worth it and that FINALLY getting to pick up a new in box Rolex from your AD was all you expected it to be!
I am very much in the camp of never buying used, to me a watch is something special and part of that experience is taking delivery from an AD.. BUT.. I have began to think I may have to go grey because I can't stand these ridiculous wait times.. |

Sounds like the spend was worth it. Glad it unfolded for you, even though it took 3 years. Congrats.
