There was a post a short while back where a member was told by an AD that Rolex stopped production of the LV this summer. Not sure just how real the information is.

There it is, DavidSW would certainly know. Maybe the V will be the last series???? No one knows... I hope so, then my "M" series would be worth 100k and I could sell it----hahhahahhahaha

Can anyone show an example of where the year of production meant a huge difference in the resale of a watch over the previous model years??? I highly doubt the letter of your LV will matter in resale, perhaps the ones that will have an added value would be the first year, the anniversary year but that is even highly doubtful.

I tried a V Submariner LV at my local AD a couple of weeks ago. I asked about how long the watch would be in production and was told not forever, as Rolex cannot manufacture a ceramic dial in green! Also I picked up a new mini brochure and there was no mention of the LV in it at all.

Plenty of V LV world wide a friend of mine picked one up in Singapore a few weeks ago.And over the years many watches were not in the full or mini brochure the Explorer for one,but still in production. And cannot see any problem with a green ceramic bezel. They can do black and blue the problem seems to be the two colour like the Pepsi, and red seems to be a problem too

No offense intended but I thought the idea of buying a watch is to use and wear it. There seems to be plenty of Sub LVs around to satisfy everyone who wants one!!!
