Switzerland price verse US

Quick question in case anyone knows. Are prices when buying in Switzerland (from AP House) higher than in the US. Looked at a few in Zurich when visiting and unless my memory was off the prices would be higher if buying there. Thought prices would be the same. Thanks for anyone that knows.

Swiss prices will include VAT which I believe currently stands at 8.1%.

We are not yet at the point where world/global prices are set the same in every market for every product.

Thanks for the responses. Even with the VAT they were a bit higher. Would not mind making AP house Zurich my registered spot with AP. Realize would have to come within a week to pickup, but kinda fun way to buy an AP. They did have a couple available, but paying more then US did not love.

yea once the hype dies down, I think it would be great to buy overseas somewhere on vacation too. the savings on just one watch in Switzerland, EU, or Asia can offset some of the travel costs.

meanwhile, I see that you are in LA. try SCP to save a little bit. 1.75% savings on sales tax is about $700 on a $40k watch. savings add up after a few pieces

Switzerland isn’t the place to buy watches (ironically). The vast majority of Swiss watches are for export. It’s actually notoriously difficult to buy pieces there. They just don’t have the stock.
