GMT II service.

Went to the local Ad today to send my Gmt master II off for its 10 year service/overhaul. The odd thing was they asked for $80.00 for Insurance and shipping charges to send it to RSC In Cali. This is the first time I have ever been charged in addition to the normal " service " fee's from Rolex. Anyone else delt with this ? I will consider sending it directly to Rolex next time.

My AD charged me around $60 to send my GMT II to the RSC in Dallas, but they did not charge me until it came back, I did not have to pay it up front.

Why not send it yourself and not go threw a middleman(AD)?

Next time for sure. Although it was nice to check out all the beauties in the glass case while they did the paperwork.

I would just send it straight there... FWIW, Beverly Hills RSC is closed so most likely they sent it to Dallas or NY...

Another member from AZ, hello from Chandler.

You do know that Vanessa, one of our resident watchmakers works locally and she does fantastic work. Could have saved you a expensive trip for the same work.
