Super excited for the Kudoke win because they’re an amazing team. And now also feeling even better about my Bluefin order coming soon :)
I was kind of surprised the MB&F HM 11 didn’t win, because that watch is crazy cool and creative, but maybe the Bovet is more technically advanced in a way I am not deep enough into watchmaking to understand. |

Cool to see IWC get recognition for the top prize. As much as I love Voutilainen's work, I'm surprised to see the KV20i win considering the 28 Inverse exists and to me is much more aesthetically pleasing, and offers more complications (no PR on the KV20i)

I don’t give a **** about it. Doesn’t mean I agree that some won but in general it’s huge bullshit If brands like Patek, Breguet, VC, Journe, Rolex ….. are not included that what the hell are we talking about

This year GPHG traveled to HK, Ho Chi Minh, NY, Geneva and Bucharest for exhibition of their finalists, ie enabling enthusiasts in parts of the world to see the watches by Rexhep Rexhepi, Voutilainen and other independents. The competition comprises participants from Switzerland, Germany, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, France, US, UK amongst others. The intent is good for the watch community, and it also serves as an effective way for many micros to market their watches. The minus is not all manufacturers participated although the barrier is a mere 3k.

I'm shocked IWC won this. Not saying it's not a great watch with interesting technology, but I didn't think it moved the needle that much.
