Rolex Updates Watch Box

Came across this on social media, thought I’d share. Has anyone received the updated box as yet?

Just from looking you can see the top wave texture/design is different.

Also the outer box is Rolex green now, not cream colored. Can’t see anything else visually different.

Boxes are still made by third party in many parts of the world so in most countries there will be variations especially say USA.The USA is a separate company from Rolex SA but a box is just a box nothing more and not the best packaging box in the watch world.

So maybe the other possibility is that it’s not authentic?

If authentic, looks more modern.

We haven’t seen one on TRF (I don’t believe).

I realize dealers might have loads of boxes to work through, but still …

No. But you can buy them online and apply them to the box yourself.

A modern updated "artsy" styling I guess. Maybe a little too much green? The creme outer box, then the green inner box and the creme interior make a nice contrast imo.

Wondering if this is real news? Could be AI generated? The "oval" at the bottom of the Rolex crown looks a bit deformed. Also, no 1/2 circle cutout on the upper panel for the booklets storage? I wouldn't imagine them eliminating that storage area.

The best were the compact wooden boxes with outer leather coating. Those were the days.

Only if it comes with carefully applied plastic protectors! After all, no one wants to buy a scratched box from a careless seller.

As we know, the presentation boxes arrive separately from the little plastic watch "coffins". They just grab the box appropriate to the watch usually based on the PM content. I've always thought the plastic boxes were a bit on the cheap side considering what you're paying. The nicest watch box I've seen is for my wife's TT Omega, entirely made out of wood with metal hinges and red velour interior, made for an extremely nice presentation.

Yea, they felt like legitimate jewelry boxes you’d want to sit out. At this point only Panerai and some Omega boxes are worth displaying these days.

Around 18 months ago, my new Explorer II came in that type of green box.
