Is my Datejust a 16234 model?

I hate to create a thread for this, but I’m curious if my DJ model is this number? Not that it matters, but since I bought it preowned last year, I want to know the model number.

Thanks for your help!

It should be....

Either it's 16234 or the previous model 16014. Only way to check is to take the end link off on the 12 o'clock side and check the model number engraving between the lugs. And the 6 o'clock side will show serial number.

Agree, looks like there's a plexi and the lugs definitely say 16014.

Great watch though, love the 3035 movement (one of my all time favourites to work on).

Have to agree Bas well over engineered even the 15 series great movements like all Rolex movements.

What do you mean by 3035 movement?

Hi, Suzy. That’s the number Rolex assigned to the movement, in your watch. The 3035 was introduced in the late 70’s and used for about 10 years, so that gives you an idea, of the age of your watch. Given its age, what a beauty!

Thanks for clarifying that, Kat. I appreciate it. And thank you for the wonderful compliment. Yes, it was in great condition when I bought it (still is, actually).

Yes this is the best way to tell, if you can’t do it yourself any jeweller can in seconds.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I'll probably just let it go. I just wanted to know mainly for my own personal knowledge.

The simplest way is to pull the crown to set the time , if turning the crown clockwise advances the hands , then is a 3235 caliber meaning that’s a 16234 , if the hands goes backward turning the crown clockwise is a 3035 caliber , therefore is a 16014 .

I believe that you may mean a 3135 movement as the 3235 is the current caliber.

And why do I not look at the dates of these threads and posts, December 2023.
