back from Barbados honeymoon trip.....
got back to the UK today - have to say, we are glad to be back!!!!
the wife and i spent a week in Barbados for our belated honeymoon trip. we had a plan of just relaxing all day and do nothing at the resort, but i, oops, i meant WE managed to find some time to head into Bridgetown for abit of look see. after day 2 we realised that we werent able to sit by the pool side and/or beach side all day.... we just can not figure out how most people do that for more than a week. most people we spoke to are staying for 2 whole weeks in the resort with very little sight seeing (there were not much to see anyway...) anyway, cut the long story short, by the end of our trip, we came back with 3 Omegas - 1 x black master, 1 x orange master & 1 x silver arrow...... . pix will follow after unpacking. one of them will be a gift to my father-in-law, and i get the other 2 . all in all, it was a great trip for both of us (the wife got a huge floor mounted globe made from some exotic materials.... it is actually quite nice, the delivery shouldnt be too far away ) FYI - on top of these Omegas, i was also looking at a IWC Portuguese Auto (white dial with blue hands), Longines Cloude De Paris Auto Reserve (white dail with blue hands) & a Rolex DJ (white dail with roman numberal) their watch prices are much better compared to the UK market (even better if you are able to get a higher discount ). there is only one Rolex AD (and 2 Omega ADs, 1 for IWC) in Bridgetown and their prices were awesome. Came very cloase to pull the trigger on the above mentioned DJ, but decided to wait for the DJ2 instead. i think i have max'd my watch budget for the rest of 2009 (still eyeing that new rose gold TT Aqua Terra...) EDIT - oops, forgot to mention, also picked up a cool looking Rotary skeleton automatic watch on black strap from the on-board duty free shop..... will post pix later |

Hey esm, congrats. I happen to be a bgi lover too. We generally rent a car after several days at the resort. Ive found 10 nights to be perfect. Find a little shade like i do its much more fun. Didn't find the ad prices in bridgetown very competitive. Two hot girls that kept saying buy, buy buy but didnt say much about discount. Going back in oct 22. Be glad to give a shout out for you to whom ever.
